In 2008 Profile researched and wrote the “Shaping The Future Report” for the Outdoor Industries Association. This was followed in 2009 by "Shaping The Future part two Consumer Buying Trends."
Both reports were designed as factual, working documents offering a snap shot of the industry while focusing on key strengths and opportunities, backed by consumer research (10,000 completed surveys in 2008) to add both strength and depth.

The European Outdoor Group is an association set up to represent the common interests of the Europen outdoor industry.
Between 2003-2007 Profile conducted an annual qualitative survey through EOG members to establish individual country and overall value of the European outdoor market – see state of trade survey sector.
In 2007 and 2008 the EOG comissioned Profile to conduct a state of trade suppliers survey through its members to establish current European market trends. The information was launched at the OutDoor trade show in Friedrichshaften during the aformentioned respectve years.
In 2009 the EOG comissioned Profile to produce a report offering a snapshot of the European outdoor market, looking at key issues and identifying opportunities for 2010 and a new decade. Profile conducted two surveys; one in Germany (in German) in partnership with leading German magazines Outdoor and Klettern and one in Switzerland (in German and English) in partership with Mammut Sports Group.
The research was designed to assess the habits and attitudes of committed outdoor consumers in relation to participation and spend, brand choice and loyalty and sustainability and the environment.
The reports were launched at ispo 2010.
